Hello! Just watched your YouTube video about retiring to Calabria! I’d love more info. I’ve been to Italy 3 times (we live in Chicago) and most recently in late 2018, we spent time in Sicily meeting my husband’s relatives! He also has relatives in Basilicata but we didn’t get there that time. He has his Italian citizenship, but I do not. Seriously looking to spend lots of time in Italy soon!

Certainly your husband’s Italian citizenship will give give you both many more options for residency as well as the ability for you to obtain your own Italian citizenship. Hi Barbara, I would recommend our apartment in Praia a Mare that we have listed on airbnb as “Stunning View of the Gulf of Policastro”. It has absolutely beautiful views of the Dino Island as well as the 11km-long beach of Praia a Mare. I am interested in buying a retirement home in Calabria.
